On August 2, the list of the third batch of Characteristic Towns in Zhejiang Province was officially announced at the on-site promotion meeting of the planning and construction of Characteristic Towns in Zhejiang Province. The "Cixi small home appliance intelligent manufacturing town" built by Zhouxiang town has been upgraded to the "third batch of characteristic town building units in Zhejiang Province" after being successfully established as the first batch of "Ningbo characteristic town". This is the only characteristic town in our city that has entered the provincial list.

Relying on the unique industrial advantages and the good location advantages of the original Zhenbei Industrial Park of Zhouxiang Town, the small home appliance intelligent manufacturing town has a total planning area of about 3.38 square kilometers and a total planned investment of 7.6 billion yuan. It focuses on the construction of five blocks, including the dynamic business district (including the living room of the town), home appliance Silicon Valley District, intelligent home appliance industry district, fashion home electronics industry district and entrepreneurship and innovation incubation area, and strives to build China's small home appliance Silicon Valley integrates R & D design, intelligent manufacturing, intelligent commerce, intelligent management and tourism experience.

Zhouxiang small household appliances is not only a business card of Cixi household appliances, but also a business card of "made in China". Zhouxiang Town, known as the "hometown of China's small household appliances", has more than 300 small household appliances production enterprises, nearly 1000 supporting enterprises, involving more than 100 categories and tens of thousands of products. The output value of small household appliances accounts for more than 65% of the total industrial output value of the Town, forming a relatively complete industrial chain of small household appliances.

According to the introduction, the planning of small home appliances intelligent manufacturing town has been completed at present, the first phase of construction block - intelligent home appliances industrial zone has been basically completed, Zhuoli group, Yueli electric appliance, Tianxiang electric appliance and other small home appliance leading enterprises have settled in, with a total fixed asset investment of 2.5 billion yuan. At the same time, eight projects with a total investment of 1.8 billion yuan are under construction, including small household appliance brand exhibition center, one-stop shopping district, Zhuoli phase II, shuaiwei electric appliance, and Fengan precision.

During this period, with the accelerated start-up of the second phase construction blocks such as the dynamic business district, small home appliance Silicon Valley District, entrepreneurship and innovation incubation area, the investment promotion work of key platforms has been fully launched, and Shenzhen Innovation Design Institute, Xiaomi technology, Jincheng new city group, etc. have extended their olive branch. By the end of July, the town has reached initial investment intention with more than 10 units and individuals, such as Dr. Lin Feng, the "national thousand talents", and Zhejiang small household appliances innovation and design center is about to sign a contract for implementation.

"In the next stage, we will take the opportunity of being listed as a provincial characteristic town, further follow the general idea of small space and large agglomeration, small platform and large industry, small carrier and large innovation, make high starting point planning and high-intensity investment, fully promote the construction of the town, and strive to basically complete it in three years." Zhouxiang town officials said that the town will focus on the theme of "smart home appliances, fashion town" and build a first-class industrial transformation and upgrading demonstration area in China.
